Kim Yeazel

Hello, my name is Kimberly Yeazel and I am thrilled to be a Cub!! I can’t wait to continue this adventure teaching fourth grade at Vassiliadis Elementary School. I am a native Nevadan and a product of the CCSD school system. I am very proud of that fact! I received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in both elementary and special education. I have been teaching for 23 years, 16 of which were spent  in the Clark County School District. I have experience teaching 7th grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade, but 4th has always been my favorite! I love their enthusiasm for learning!! Prior to coming to Vassiliadis I taught 4th grade at Staton Elementary School for 10 years, and I have enjoyed being a part of this amazing Summerlin community!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two beautiful daughters . My oldest daughter, Jordyn graduated from Boise State University in December. She is the marketing director for Paul Mitchell in Boise. Abby is in college at San Diego State University. They are my pride and joy! In my leisure time I enjoy shopping, concert going, cheering on the Golden Knights, and working out at the gym!

I feel honored to be part of this amazing team of teachers and administrators at Vassiliadis who share the same vision and passion as me! I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Hello Cub families! My name is Christa Hsu and I’ve been a teacher since 2014. I was born and raised in Iowa, and graduated from Iowa State University. Upon graduating, I moved to Las Vegas and started my first career in health education for local high schools, as well as working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. In 2015, I graduated from UNLV with my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have spent most of my teaching career in 3rd and 4th grades. The intermediate grades are so much fun to teach!

I have been married to my husband, Arthur, since 2005. We have two incredible children, Kennedy & Aidan, and two big dogs named Ginger & Linda. We enjoy staying busy with school and after school activities, but more than anything we love cheering on our sports teams, playing games, and watching movies. I enjoy cheering on my favorite sports teams, going to the gym, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends both near and far.

I absolutely love being a teacher! I believe in providing a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where each student feels supported in challenging themselves and reaching their goals. I am thrilled to be at the best school with the most amazing staff and community at Vassiliadis. I look forward to having a fun and memorable year!

Lindsay Ortiz

Hello, Cub families! I am Lindsay Ortiz and am so excited to start this school year in 4th grade again! I was born and raised here in Las Vegas, Nevada. GO KNIGHTS GO! I achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from UNLV in 2010 and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Reading Instruction in 2015 from GCU. I taught fourth and fifth grade until 2016, when I left the classroom for a little bit to stay home with my children before they started school themselves. In 2022, I joined the Cubs family as the Computer Science teacher and have loved being able to build a relationship with all the students here!

I have been married for almost thirteen years to my husband, Roger. In the fall of 2024, my son, Hunter, will be in fourth grade and my daughter, Dylan, will be in second grade here. When I am not at a cheer event for my daughter or a lacrosse game for my son, I enjoy shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with my family and friends!

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has unique strengths, challenges, and potential. It is my responsibility to create a safe, supportive, and intellectually stimulating environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. I am thrilled to be back teaching fourth grade and even more excited to be doing it at this amazing school with your amazing students!

Scott Cesarone

Hi families and students! I'm Mr. Cesarone and I am excited to teach 4th grade this year at Vassiliadis. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. This will be my 12th year teaching in the Clark County School District and my 8th year in 4th grade. I was born and raised in Michigan, where I received my Bachelors Degree from Oakland University in 2013. My wife Elena and I have three wonderful children, Victoria, Luca and Emma. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, golfing and spending time with my family.  I am an avid sports fan (GO KNIGHTS!) and love bringing that friendly competition into the classroom.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy seeing my students grow academically, as well as socially. In my classroom, you may or may not find me standing on chairs/tables to grab my classroom's attention. I encourage my students to have their voices be heard and to be supportive of one another. I am committed to helping each one of my students love, respect and appreciate the concepts being taught. I always will try to apply real world situations and applications to whatever content there is. I believe that this is all crucial for student success. With commitment, dedication and some fun, this upcoming school year will be a successful one!

Cierra Ritter

Ritter, Cierra.jpg

My name is Cierra Ritter! I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and went to UNLV to receive my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Go Rebels! I’ve had the privilege of teaching 4th grade for five years and have worked with children for over ten years. I realized I wanted to become a teacher after working for a child development program with a soccer emphasis in high school. Teaching brings so much joy to my heart and seeing children succeed in the classroom is indescribable. In my classroom, my main goal is to make learning fun, yet rigorous enough to challenge their brains! I believe that in order to accomplish this I need to provide my students with a safe learning environment. I do this by prioritizing social emotional learning, aiming to infuse the principles of emotional intelligence into our classroom curriculum. Aristotle says it best, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
Some things you should know about me include my obsession with Star Wars and Disney films. I love in-n-out, but I would pick all you can eat sushi as my favorite meal. I enjoy being outdoors hiking, snowboarding, and playing soccer. When I’m not at school, you can catch me at the soccer field! In fact, I’ve coached youth soccer periodically for the last seven years because it combines my two passions teaching and playing soccer! With that being said, I am pumped for another year as a part of the best 4th grade team and community at Vassiliadis! Go Cubs!

Reina Douville

Douville, Reina.jpg

Hello, friends! My name is Ms. Douville. I was born in Las Vegas, and had the privilege of growing up as a military kid. I’ve shopped in South Korean markets, swam in the Pacific Ocean, and eaten too much pasta in the capital of Italia. Traveling brings me joy, but it is great to be back in my hometown getting to do what I love most - teaching kids!

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I’m excited to dive into my fourth year of teaching, especially with the best 4th grade team in Las Vegas. I excel at using positive reinforcement teaching techniques that encourage students’ educational and personal growth. I’m flexible, but I also believe children feel more comfortable with routine and structure.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, exercising, watching movies, and traveling with my friends. My favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid, I love the color green, and you can always catch me with a cup of tea in my hand. I am very much looking forward to a phenomenal school year, and getting to know each and every one of my Vassiliadis Cubs.
