4th Grade Team

Dayvin Bartolome

Aloha!  I am thrilled to be a member of the Vassiliadis family.  I hail from Hilo on the beautiful Island of Hawai`i.  After finishing high school, I embarked on a journey toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  While attending college, I worked at United Airlines and discovered my passion for the jet-set lifestyle.  My next career was with Caesars Entertainment.  I worked in various service and supervisory positions for 12 years.  In 2009, I began my transition toward a career in education.  I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master of Arts in Education.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade at Lynch Elementary, 4th grade at Bonner Elementary, and 4th grade at Vassiliadis Elementary School.

In my leisure time, I delight in visiting friends and family.  I also love to fill my passport with stamps by jaunting off to new international destinations to indulge in the local cuisine and immerse myself in the diverse cultures of the world.  I also revel in entertaining and exhibiting my culinary expertise for family and friends.  During the winter season, I relish in carving up the mountainside on my snowboard while jamming to music.  I also enjoy taking to the trails in my 4x4 to find the perfect camping spot.

Working hard to pursue your happiness is my philosophy and a part of the unwritten curriculum I teach my students every day.  I believe that success is 3% inspiration and 97% perspiration.  My job as an educator is to inspire and encourage my students and give them the roadmap toward success.  It is up to each individual to use it to follow and achieve his or her dreams.  Teaching is my passion and I am honored to be a part of the Vassiliadis family.  I look forward to a wonderful and memorable school year.

Rachel Levandusky

Hi there! I’m Mrs. Levandusky! I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. GO CUBS!!! I moved to Las Vegas eighteen years ago to attend UNLV. I achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2005. I have been teaching fourth grade ever since! In 2008, I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

I have been married for almost nine years to my husband, Brett. My son Landon is five and my daughter Mya is two. I also have an American Eskimo named, Sadie, who rules the house! I enjoy shopping, swimming, going to the movies, and spending time with my family and friends. In the summer, we enjoy traveling to Idaho and Chicago to see our family. My favorite book is, “Chrysanthemum”, by Kevin Henkes. This book sends a powerful message- be kind to others and accept people for who they are.

Teaching is my passion! Working with children fulfills my life. Having your child as one of my students provides them with a comforting, nurturing environment, which also includes consistency, structure, respect, and a challenging experience where they get to achieve their individual goals.

I worked at Bonner Elementary for Mr. Catania for five years before working at Vassiliadis. I am ecstatic to be kicking off my fourteenth year of teaching in CCSD at this amazing school! It is an honor and privilege to be a part of this incredible staff and community. I am looking forward to fantastic, successful school year together!

Lindsey Cofer

Hi all! My name is Lindsey Cofer and I am extremely excited to be joining the Vassiliadis family! I was born and raised in Oklahoma and have spent my whole life there until August of 2017. I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma City University where I obtained my degree in Elementary Education and met my Husband, Tyler.  I have been married for 7 years and have two very energetic little boys, Jax (4) and Briggs (3). Our family packed up our belongings and moved to Las Vegas just recently after my husband took a position with the Vegas Golden Knights (Go Knights Go!).  As a family we enjoy attending various sporting events, hiking, concert going, and staying active. I personally love cooking, getting lost in a book (Wonder is my most recent favorite!), and finding the perfect cup of coffee.

I originally attended college to becoming an event coordinator. Shortly after starting a part time job as a preschool teacher during my freshman year, I realized I had to change my path and followed my heart into the education field. I have spent the past 8 years living my passion by teaching elementary aged students. I taught second grade for two of those years, spent five years in fourth grade and just recently finished a year teaching fifth grade. I am delighted to be back to teaching fourth grade again! I couldn’t imagine a career doing anything but teaching. My number one goal is for each student to leave school everyday saying “that was SUCH an awesome day!”. We will have a ton of fun making learning come to life but we will also work as hard as possible. I love to sing, dance, and add movement into every lesson. I don’t want to be bored so my students wont be either! Hands on activities, transformation classrooms and game integration is how I like to roll through the school year. Learning should (and will) be fun! I can’t wait to meet you all and start building our classroom family.

Kim Yeazel

Hello, my name is Kimberly Yeazel and I am thrilled to become a Cub!! I can’t wait to embark on this new adventure teaching fourth grade at Vassiliadis Elementary School. I am a native Nevadan and a product of the CCSD school system. I am very proud of that fact! I received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in both elementary and special education. I have been teaching for nineteen years, thirteen of which were spent  in the Clark County School District. I have experience teaching 7th grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade, but 4th has always been my favorite! I love their enthusiasm for learning!! My most recent position was teaching 4th grade at Staton Elementary School for 10 years, and I have enjoyed being a part of this amazing community!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, John and I have two beautiful daughters. Jordyn is a junior at Palo Verde High School, and Abby, an eighth grader at Sig Rogich Middle School. They both play soccer, so we are very busy at the soccer fields most of the time. In addition, I enjoy shopping, concert going, cheering on the Golden Knights, and working out at the gym!

I feel honored to be joining the amazing team of teachers and administrators at Vassiliadis who share the same vision and passion as me! I look forward to a wonderful school year!
