Welcome to Vassiliadisl! My name is Jennifer Aznarez, and I am truly honored to serve as your principal. It is a privilege to be part of such a caring and dedicated school community, and I am excited to begin a new year of learning, growth, and success alongside our students, staff, and families.
My journey in education began in 2001 as a second-grade teacher at Clyde C. Cox Elementary School, where I taught until 2003. During that time, I discovered my passion for supporting the whole child, which inspired me to pursue school counseling. From 2003 to 2014, I had the privilege of serving as a school counselor at both Clyde C. Cox Elementary School and D. L. Dusty Dickens Elementary School. These experiences reinforced my belief that strong relationships and a supportive school environment are essential to helping every child thrive. In 2014, I joined Reed Elementary School as an assistant principal, where I proudly served for five years. In 2019, I was honored to become the principal of Reed Elementary, a role that has allowed me to continue working alongside an incredible team of educators, students, and families.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and later completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from UNLV. I am originally from Philadelphia (Go Birds) and proud to carry that hometown spirit with me. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous learning and professional growth so I can best serve our students and staff. My husband is a PE teacher at Lied STEM Academy, and together we are proud parents of two daughters, Olivia and Grace. Olivia currently attends UNLV studying Education, and Grace will attend Northeastern State University in Oklahoma in the fall to study Pre-Med and play collegiate soccer.
As an educator, I believe every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where they are encouraged to reach their full potential. My goal is to foster a school culture where students feel valued, supported, and inspired to become lifelong learners. I also believe that strong partnerships between families, teachers, and the community are the foundation of student success.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, traveling, and finding opportunities to learn and grow both personally and professionally. These experiences remind me of the importance of balance, curiosity, and lifelong learning—qualities I hope to instill in our students every day.
Success is built through hard work, perseverance, kindness, and collaboration. Together, our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students create a school where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to succeed.
It is an honor to serve as your principal at Vassiliadis Elementary School, and I am excited to begin this new chapter with such a wonderful school community. I look forward to an outstanding year filled with meaningful learning experiences, memorable events, and countless opportunities for our students to shine. Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our school community.
Together, we will make this an exceptional year for every child.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Aznarez

I was born in Hollywood, Florida, went to high school in St. Charles Illinois, and moved to Las Vegas after graduation. I am a proud UNLV graduate with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration. I am happily married to my husband Barri and we share two children. My personal hobbies include working out, reading, and spending way too much money shopping online!
Education has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I believe that students and staff thrive in positive, collaborative, and inclusive environments that challenge them to be their personal best and that is exactly what Vassiliadis embodies. I am so excited to continue to foster the relationships built between the school and the community and contribute to the ongoing academic success of Vassiliadis Elementary! Go, Cubs, Go!

Hello Cubs! My name is Heather Musni and I am excited for year two as a Vassiliadis Cub.
I received both my B.S. Degree in Elementary Education in 2001 and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Literacy in 2006 from UNLV. In 2014, I received a second Master’s Degree in Supervision and Administration.
This will be my 26th year in the district and I have been an administrator for the past four years. I have taught grades kindergarten through 3rd grade and was also a special education resource teacher. Kindergarten was my favorite grade to teach and I spent 15 years teaching kindergarten before becoming a strategist.
I am married to Mr. Musni who is a PE teacher and football coach at Liberty High School. I have three children, Jaxson (26), Jarrett (24), Zoe (20), and a grandson Banx (4). We also have a French Bulldog named Paisley. Sports is LIFE in our house and we enjoy watching and attending football games. However, you can always find me back in Cali at the beach during my time off.
I am an avid reader and love exploring literature with students to enhance their love for reading. I believe students and staff have a love for school and work when their environment is engaging and memorable. Students learn best when their full potential is realized and they have the encouragement from their teachers to explore their passions. I believe with your cooperation and encouragement Vassiliadis will continue to be the best place possible for your child(ren).
Sincerely,
Heather Musni
