Leanne Burt - Library Aide
I am so excited to be working in the Vassiliadis school library, especially with brand new books! I love to read and am looking forward to assisting students and faculty find what they need in the library.
I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah, and graduated from Snow College with my Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems. I worked as a computer operator and then programmer for about 15 years. I loved my career; but when my children came, I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. I am married to Alan, who is a wonderful husband and father. We have two beautiful girls; Kaylee, who is currently attending BYU and studying to be a Social Worker and hoping to work with youth and children; and Kimberly, who is a sophomore at Palo Verde High School.
My husband’s job brought us to Las Vegas when our girls were young. When our youngest was in First Grade at Bonner, I had the privilege of working as a Teacher’s Aide at the same school – and eventually with Mr. Catania. I have worked at Bonner for 11 years, and look forward to continuing another amazing year with Mr. Catania, and all the other fantastic faculty, students, parents, and staff.

Sally Ramirez - Special Program Teaching Assistant
Hello, my name is Sally Ramirez and I have been with the Clark County School District for 11 years. My initial experience with CCSD was working with a high school program called Mommy and Me, where I mentored teenage mothers and provided daycare for their children while they attended to their education. For the past 9 years, I have been a teaching assistant to special education teachers specializing in autism.
I was born and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and graduated from Alta Loma High School. I have been married for 37 years to my husband, Henry and we have two children and 6 grandchildren. During the early years of our marriage, my husband was in the military and I was a stay at home mom; but I have always babysat for friends and family member's children. After my stint as a stay at home mom, I finally joined the workforce at a daycare for and spent 7 years there.
Very early on in my life I knew my calling was to provide education and nurturing to children. To see each and every one of those kids that I have interacted with and continue to interact is the biggest blessing in my life. To know that I can make a difference in their lives just by being present and devoting my time and energy to their needs is very rewarding to me.

Now that we are practically empty nesters we spend time traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants, hanging out with our friends and walking our little rascal terrier Katie,. I subbed for 7 seven years for CCSD as a teacher’s assistant. During that time, I fell in love with the Early Childhood Program. Tom Bole - Site Based Technician
Hello Cubs! My name is Tom Bole and I am excited to be the new SBT (Site-Based Technician) at Vassiliadis Elementary. I was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. I enlisted in the Air Force shortly after high school and retired from active duty service in 2014. I have literally seen the world over the past couple of decades and I have lived in Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, South Korea, and Germany while doing so. After leaving the service, I took a position as a broadcast engineer for Vegas PBS where I maintained the station’s transmitter, translators, studio equipment, automation systems, and servers. While working there I was able to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management from American Military University. I look forward to taking care of the technical needs of the teachers and staff of Vassiliadis, so that they can focus on educating the future leaders of our great country!.
I absolutely love living in Las Vegas and I consider myself a Nevadan. In my spare time I like to workout, travel, watch sports, and enjoy life. I frequently go to concerts and Golden Knights games. Next year you can catch me down at all the Raider games wearing my silver and black!
